Announcing the Winners of the Electra FM Shark Competition!

For the third consecutive year, Electra FM proudly hosted the Shark Competition, inviting all employees to submit innovative ideas to enhance and streamline the company’s operations. After the ideas were collected, a dedicated steering committee reviewed their feasibility and potential impact.

Selected Ideas for the Shark Committee Presentation:

  • Yaakov Talker, Director of the Leshem Institute Operations Center, Electra Tomer: Proposed the development of a clamp attachment for lifting equipment to extend its lifespan, expedite work processes, and ensure long-term functionality.
  • David Gronov, Director of the South-Yam Region, Field Service: Suggested a warning system to detect malfunctions in refrigeration and freezing rooms.
  • Liran Amar, VP of Operations and Service, Field Service: Presented a concept for integrative services for municipal authorities, combining all disciplines within the group, including management, maintenance, security, cleaning, and transportation.
  • Oren Vazif, Director of Safety, Competence, and Logistics, Electra Security: Proposed an additional service to be offered by the ISB for managing and controlling fire incidents, achieved by training SWAT fighters in factory firefighting and light rescue.
  • Liran Laniado, Technical Director, Michlol, Introduced a unique employee training method using escape rooms, applicable across various fields.
  • Avi Yeshurun, Manager of the Haifa North Branch, Tavas: Proposed developing software for creating customized work plans and defining cleaning repairs tailored to customer needs.

Following the selection of these ideas, the candidates were guided to refine their proposals and present them to the Shark Committee. The final presentations took place on July 30th.

Winning Ideas:

  1. Employee Training via Escape Rooms – Liran Laniado, Michlol Solutions
  2. Additional Fire Management Service – Oren Vazif, Electra Security

Liran Laniado shared, “I was initially nervous entering the esteemed CEO forum, but Daniel Milo’s reassuring words and smile put me at ease. To engage the committee, I began with a puzzle game, which helped break the ice. The feedback I received was overwhelmingly positive, and it was clear that they appreciated the idea. I encourage everyone to challenge themselves in this way, and if I have another idea next year, I will certainly submit it to the sharks.”

Oren Vazif expressed, “Participating in the Shark Competition and presenting my idea for training SWAT fighters in firefighting and light rescue was a gratifying experience. These skilled fighters will add significant value to the tactical units in cities, and I believe this training will enhance the services we offer.”

Tal Almog, VP of Human Resources, reflected, “Each year, the competition improves, with ideas becoming more aligned with the group’s vision. It’s inspiring to witness the connection between our employees and the organization. This activity is a gift to all committee members, allowing us to meet employees who are true entrepreneurs at heart. The next phase is to integrate these ideas, strengthening the group’s values and market leadership.
