An Inspiring Professional Journey | Yevgenia Vasiliev
9 March 2025
In celebration of International Women’s Day, we are proud to share the remarkable story of Yevgenia (Jenny) Vasiliev, a woman who has demonstrated how passion, perseverance, and self-belief can lead to significant success in the business world.
Jenny’s journey at Electra FM began in September 2019, when she was recruited as Head of Recruitment for Tavas. For four years, she successfully managed the recruitment system, tackling one of the biggest challenges in the industry—finding dedicated, high-quality employees for the cleaning and maintenance sector.
“The main challenge was finding reliable and motivated cleaning staff who were willing to integrate into Tavas and the sites we served”, Jenny shares. But she not only met the challenges, but she also built a professional recruitment system that consistently delivered impressive results.
Six months ago, Jenny reached a significant crossroads in her career. “I found myself deciding whether to continue in recruitment or transition into operations”, she recalls with a smile. Taking a bold leap, she embraced a new opportunity, and today she serves as Site Manager at EL AL’s King David Lounge—a dynamic and demanding role that combines all the knowledge and experience she has gained over the years.
“In my current role, I face diverse challenges every day—recruiting and retaining employees, responding quickly to customer needs, and solving problems in real time”, she explains.
The shift from recruitment to operations felt natural, giving her deep understanding of on-the-ground needs and customer expectations.

Throughout her career, Jenny has been fortunate to receive strong support from managers who recognized her potential.
“Ilan Shimoni (CEO of Tavas) believed in me more than anyone else. He saw that I was capable of more, that I could succeed beyond recruitment and in the world of operations,” she says with gratitude.
She also acknowledges Ilan Cohen, the Central Branch Manager, who taught her everything about the cleaning industry—from managing employees and handling VIP clients to overcoming operational challenges.
Looking back on her accomplishments, Jenny is particularly proud of the long-term impact of her work: “I built recruitment processes at Tavas that have consistently proven their effectiveness. I take pride in having recruited and supported many employees, some of whom have been with the company for 5–6 years and have become outstanding team members.” Her ability to assemble and retain dedicated teams has significantly enhanced service quality and the company’s reputation.
Jenny sees a bright future for women at Electra FM. “When I meet so many women in senior positions within the company, it reinforces my belief that we are on the right path”. She is confident that more women will step into leadership roles in the industry and that gender diversity will continue to drive innovation and growth.

Jenny’s message for International Women’s Day is clear and strong:
“Believe in yourselves! Don’t give up, don’t be afraid to take risks, and don’t hesitate to ask for what you deserve. Even if the answer is ‘no’ at times, it doesn’t mean you should stop trying”.
For Jenny, International Women’s Day is more than just a date on the calendar. “It’s a day to celebrate women’s achievements, but also a reminder of the battles still ahead—closing wage gaps, eliminating gender discrimination, and promoting true equality. It’s a moment to pause, appreciate ourselves, and confidently claim our rightful place in the professional world.”
Jenny’s journey perfectly embodies the core values of Electra FM—professionalism, innovation, and investment in human capital.
Her story is a testament to how a company that believes in its employees and provides them with growth opportunities reaps the rewards of commitment, excellence, and outstanding business results.
