TAVAS (GREEN IS CLEAN) launches new cleaning measurement model.
15 October 2024Tavas, one of Israel’s leading cleaning service providers, is currently advancing a significant strategic move to implement technological innovation in the cleaning industry. At the heart of this initiative is a unique project for measuring Time Per Task (TPT) for cleaning operations, marking a breakthrough in cleaning management in Israel.
The cleaning industry is currently facing substantial challenges, chief among them a severe labor shortage, estimated at around 41,000 unfilled positions since the COVID-19 pandemic. This reality demands a rethinking of traditional work methods and the adoption of innovative solutions.
In response to these challenges, Tavas has developed an advanced measurement model based on TPT principles. The model includes precise measurement of execution times for all cleaning activities, considering a variety of parameters including transition times between tasks, time for organizing and preparing materials, scheduled breaks, use of advanced machinery, and other environmental variables. The project encompasses measuring over 100 daily tasks per shift.
The measurement process is conducted using advanced tools and a structured methodology, including the use of accurate digital stopwatches, detailed documentation of each action, comprehensive data analysis, and the establishment of uniform standards. The company is implementing the model at several leading sites, adapting the measurements to the specific nature of each facility. The next goal set by Tavas is to expand the time measurements to additional sites. The collected data will allow comparisons between traditional cleaning and cleaning with advanced machinery and will be used to build a precise ROI model, customized work plans, and efficient pricing for proposals based on the client’s profile.
“The new model allows us to set precise standards for cleaning operations,” says Avi Yeshuron, Head of Technology Innovation and Integration. “It not only improves operational efficiency but also enables fairer pricing of services and better working conditions for employees.”
Alongside the TPT model, Tavas is promoting several other technological initiatives, including collaborations with leading importers of robots, machinery, and advanced equipment, as well as pilot technologies in partnership with major market players such as JLL, Rafael, Intel, Mobileye, and others. In addition, the company has implemented a dedicated app named TAVAS-APP, designed for managing and monitoring customer requests and cleaning agreements.
Tavas’ innovation initiatives, led by the advanced TPT model, mark a new direction in Israel’s cleaning industry. By integrating advanced technology with precise methodology, the company is leading the digital revolution in the field, setting new standards for efficient and professional cleaning service management. The data collected as part of the measurements not only helps streamline work processes but also improves customer service, aligns with international standards, and empowers workers on site.
