On International Women’s Day, we proudly share the inspiring story of Meirav Gana—a story demonstrating that success begins with daring to believe and embracing new challenges fearlessly.

“I believe no challenge is too great when there’s a genuine desire to learn”, says Meirav. This principle has defined her entire career journey at Electra FM. When she joined the company, she had no prior experience in facility management. Instead of hesitating, she immersed herself in the new field, meticulously learning every detail, from the simplest tasks to the most complex responsibilities, growing her knowledge through daily practice and genuine ambition.

Meirav never believed in standing still. Every role was a stepping stone, an opportunity to acquire new skills and broaden her horizons. “My path has been a continuous journey of learning and growth”, she reflects with a smile. “Each position represented another step in building my capabilities”.

Over time, Meirav steadily climbed the ranks within Electra FM, taking on increased responsibility. Managing the call center opened new doors, and her transition to project management was a significant leap forward. Today, as Head of Project Management, she leads extensive processes, connects teams, and develops creative solutions to complex challenges.

Her decision to pursue an academic degree was a turning point both professionally and personally. “It went far beyond academic learning”, she passionately shares. It was proof to myself that I could break barriers, tackle intellectual and professional challenges, and emerge stronger”. Her studies reinforced her self-belief and opened her eyes to new possibilities.

Yet academic challenges were not the only obstacles Meirav faced. Professionally, she navigated significant organizational transformations. “One of our biggest challenges was transitioning to the Integrated Facility Management (IFM) model”, she explains. It required innovative thinking, rapid adaptation, and confronting demands we hadn’t faced before”.

For Meirav, however, challenges are opportunities rather than obstacles. “Instead of seeing difficulty, I saw the chance to grow”, she emphasizes. “That mindset propelled us toward becoming a stronger organization. The ability to maintain stability during turbulence, lead change, and unite teams toward a common goal was a profound lesson in leadership”.

Asked what drove her to continually accept new challenges, Meirav’s answer is clear and direct: “A genuine desire to grow, learn, and make an impact”. She eloquently emphasizes, “To succeed, you must always aim higher and embrace change without fear. Each role is not a final destination, but a launchpad for the next stage”.

Throughout her career, Meirav cultivated essential skills that advanced her growth. “Over the years, I developed critical capabilities such as project management, decision-making under pressure, interpersonal communication, and achieving goals by balancing the big picture with meticulous details”, she explains. “These are the tools I carried into every role, guiding me toward leadership and success”.

Meirav acknowledges a pivotal figure who recognized her potential and encouraged her progression. “Moshe Weizman, CEO of Electra Tomer, was the person who truly saw my potential”, she recounts. “I remember when I was managing the call center, he approached me and said, ‘Meirav, I need you in project management’. I was surprised and replied, ‘Moshe, what do I know about that field?’ He responded with unforgettable words: ‘You will succeed. Believe in yourself, and you’ll see that you’ll succeed’.”

“That moment was a turning point—sometimes all you need is someone who believes in you enough to help you believe in yourself”, she explains.

When reflecting on her achievements, Meirav proudly highlights her family first. “I’m proud of my family, my dear husband Miki and my wonderful children, who have been my anchor and source of strength. My success wouldn’t have been possible without their unwavering support, and for that, I am deeply grateful”.

Professionally, Meirav takes pride in the personal resilience she has developed. “I’m proud of my patience and my ability to manage crises without breaking down. Challenges didn’t weaken me—they strengthened me. Every obstacle became another step forward in my journey”.

Looking ahead, Meirav sees a promising future for women at Electra FM. “I envision a future where women increasingly take significant leadership roles within the company”, she says confidently. “Maintenance and project management were traditionally viewed as male domains, but that’s changing. I anticipate more women stepping into key positions, bringing innovative thinking, and driving critical initiatives”.

Meirav’s message to other women on International Women’s Day stems directly from her experience: “Believe in yourselves, dream big, and don’t allow anyone to set your limits. The path to success isn’t easy, but it’s achievable—and it all begins with the decision to dare”.

Regarding the significance of International Women’s Day itself, Meirav sees it as more than just another date on the calendar. “It’s a day to acknowledge women’s achievements”, she notes, “but for me, it’s also a powerful reminder—women’s empowerment should be embraced every day, not just once a year”.

She concludes optimistically, “On Women’s Day, we celebrate accomplishments but also continue striving for a better future—one where every woman can reach wherever she aspires, without limitations or ceilings”.

Meirav’s story illustrates the power of determination, courage, and a supportive environment. It proves that any woman can overcome challenges, break barriers, and achieve great heights if she believes in herself and dares to try.
