Oron began his professional journey in 2006, after completing his studies in electrical engineering technology. During his significant tenure in the Israeli Air Force, he continued his academic pursuits and earned a degree in electrical engineering between 2010 and 2014. Today, holding a Level 3 Electrical Inspector certification and a decade of experience at Electra FM, he drives significant innovations in the field.
“Electrical engineering is a field that intersects with many disciplines, enabling constant expansion of horizons,” says Oron. He emphasizes the importance of organized and methodical work in project management: “We work on electrical facilities and systems while maintaining their integrity and continuity at all times. Every project is managed systematically, adhering strictly to pre-prepared work plans, laws, and regulations, while consistently ensuring the safety of all employees.”
One of Oron’s notable achievements is establishing the Electrical Community at Electra FM, bringing together engineers and technicians in the field. “Sharing knowledge and experience is critical for our professional growth as an organization,” he explains. Under his leadership, there has been a significant improvement in the level of maintenance at sites and their oversight, with a focus on professional empowerment through training and fruitful dialogue among professionals.
Oron ensures continuous professional development through courses, seminars, and staying updated with industry articles. “This is a must in a dynamic field like ours,” he emphasizes. When addressing malfunctions, he adopts a comprehensive approach: “In disruptive faults, especially in critical facilities, we don’t just solve the immediate issue but also conduct thorough investigations to prevent recurrence in the future.”
Currently, Oron is leading the company in addressing the challenge of the anticipated shortage of skilled professionals by fostering and retaining employees and raising their professional standards.
What drives him in his daily work is the combination of versatility, the broad distribution of sites, and the constant interest provided by working with people. To the younger generation of engineers, he offers important advice: “Don’t focus on just one area. Strive to experience all aspects of the electrical world – from planning and execution to project management and facility maintenance. That’s the way to become a leading professional in the field.”
